Koko Grill and Lounge started with a simple idea: bring honest, home-style African cooking to Baltimore and give people a warm place to linger over it. Ten years later, we are still a family-owned kitchen with our own crew behind the flame, and we still cook every plate as if it were going to someone we know. Come in hungry, because the smell of the grill hits you at the door.

Our menu leans on the flavors we grew up with. We serve smoky African BBQ, seasoned suya, and skewered kebabs that come off the grill with real char. There is grilled fish and grilled chicken cooked to order, plus jollof rice, made in big pots the way it should be done. On the soup side, we ladle out rich egusi soup and banga soup, and we steam soft, savory moi moi for anyone who wants a taste of the classics. If someone in your group is craving something familiar, we also cook American dishes, so nobody at the table leaves unhappy.

We built this place to be more than a restaurant. It is a two-story spot with free wi-fi, our own parking so you are not circling the block, and room to gather with friends. We host karaoke nights and keep the energy going with a DJDJ and live music every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We also have a lounge area where you can enjoy hookah.
